In case any of you were worried about Carine Roitfeld's unemployment status, fear not, she's heading to Barneys! After leaving French Vogue last December, there's been plenty of rumours and speculations on her next move but it was confirmed today that she will be serving as a guest editor and stylist for Barney's Fall campaign. This will entail editing and styling the catalogue, the ads, and producing a short film based on her as the muse, with photographer Mario Sorrenti and Barneys creative director Dennis Freedman. Another surprise will be her creative vision to the Madison Avenue flagship store's fall windows which will be unveiled in September. I can't wait, it's most definitely going to be a departure from Simon Doonan's work. And you know what this means - she'll be living Stateside in New York now so there will be lots of Carine Roitfeld sightings all over town. New York always has the cool stuff, no fair....
